UC Davis Health in Sacramento recently added a stunning mural to their building, painted by artist [WelSed](https://www.instagram.com/WelSed/). This project was part of [Wide Open Walls](https://www.wideopenwalls.com/)’ initiative, which revitalizes businesses by bringing together artists to create vibrant murals, adding life and color to otherwise plain structures.

After WelSed painted this mural for Wide Open Walls, it was immediately covered in clear matte MuralGuard. MuralGuard is a protective coating designed to safeguard murals and other public artworks from damage. It provides a clear, durable barrier that protects against graffiti, UV rays, moisture, and environmental pollutants, ensuring the longevity and vibrancy of the artwork.

The clear matte coating ensures the artwork maintains its original vibrancy and natural colors while providing essential protection. This transparent layer allows the colors and details of the mural to shine through unobstructed, preserving the artist’s intended appearance.
