The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, represents a remarkable addition to the Las Vegas Strip. During its construction phase, there was a need for a primer capable of preventing rust accumulation.
Plugger 25, an acrylic sealer with 25% solids for priming and binding chalky surfaces, was selected for this purpose. It is versatile and suitable for use on both wood and masonry surfaces and previously painted areas. Notably, it functions as a primer to bind chalky surfaces and also as a way to protect surfaces from moisture damage.
Applied extensively in the service hallways that run the full length of the Sphere, Plugger 25 ensures these areas are safeguarded against moisture damage, thereby maintaining corrosion resistance on the walls.
